P10 MOREOVER, UNTIL THEN, THERE HAD BEEN NO SECRET AS FAR AS ANYONE WAS CONCERNED IN REGARD TO THE FACT THAT BANISTER DAVID WILLIAM FERRIE AND SUBJ MAY HAVE KNOWN OR BEEN ACQUAINTED WITH ONE ANOTHER. WAS DEFERRED R 6805270089 --- One caveat. Of this document, Bill Davy notes: It should be noted however, that this is the exact same wording from an affidavit from Jack Martin. So it seems the CIA was quoting from Martin's affidavit in this memo rather than stating their own conclusion. [CF: Affidavit of Jack Martin and Davis Lewis, February 20, 1968.] This may not be so, when one considers that if the CIA was reporting from the affidavit they would not have neccessarily translated it into CIA-ese (with the "SUBJ" and lack of punctuation). If the document does quote the Martin/Lewis affidavit, it raises an interesting question as to just how the CIA got the affidavit.
