The classes in this division will include academic ballet, pointe, supported adagio, and variations from the current and traditional repertoire. Regular and lengthy practice, both supervised and independent, is required to master the various positions and movements. Each student must be trained by rigid discipline until the technique is so fully mastered that it does not have to be thought about. Then the dancer is free to use the body as an instrument and is ready to cope with the different styles and interpretations of the choreographer. Students taught by the Boehms have gone on to join the ranks of professional ballet companies. Some have received degrees in dance from major universities and many have studied under scholarship with major professional ballet companies.
